National School Threat Database & Resource Center
As of May 2024, the number of K-12 students in the United States was projected to be 54.3 million, a 0.7% decrease over five years. This number includes students in pre-K through 12th grade at public, private, and charter schools.
Yet - Our nation's education facilities received 1,123 bomb threats last year — the most of any institution, per the U.S. Bomb Data Center.
---------
An epidemic of threats is visiting the classrooms of our schools across this nation - plaguing students, families & school officials, taxing law enforcement & school resources & more importantly interrupting the education & the mental well being of our nations student's.
Until the development of The One In Five Foundation For Kids, National School Threat Database & Resource Center, there has been no comprehensive & interactive national, central database to track, report, build upon & provide immediate resources to those affected by these school threats.
---------
The One In Five Foundation For Kids, formed in response to the Uvalde, Texas mass shooting at Robb Elementary School uses a combination of AI technology, city/county/state court records, county & state police reports, Google mapping, direct/reverse and geographically based keyword searches, internet & social media platform monitoring, LIVE team member & chapter reporting & more - Through our one of a kind national, interactive school threat database & support resource center; to provide real time national data on school threats & support resources for those affected.
Educational tools will be effective, built upon this data; when combined with a multilevel, collaborative & proactive approach, which should include sustainable behavioral & student cultural intervention programming in schools & school communities nationwide.
