National Nonprofit launches multi-state independent search for 16 year-old Sophia Franklin, who has been reported missing since February 2nd. Police say 16-year-old Sophia Franklin and her accused abductor, 40-year-old Gary Day, could be on their way to Arkansas. Franklin, is three months pregnant, and Day is known to be the father. The foundation release stated that up to a $5,000 reward is also being offered by the nonprofit for information related to finding the missing teen, through its "Crimes Against Students," Initiative.

 

Nonprofit organization that helped locate missing Tennessee student, Riley Strain, and who is currently aiding in the much publicized nationwide search for Sebastian Rogers, announced Tuesday morning, out of its Dallas, Texas chapter, that it will be launching independent search efforts for the missing teen, including members from its Arkansas, Wisconsin, Missouri & Texas chapters.

The One In Five Foundation For Kids is a nonprofit violence prevention and student advocacy organization dedicated formed after the Robb Elementary School shooting in May 2022. Formerly The Uvalde Foundation For Kids, the One In Five Foundation For Kids, now headquartered in Dallas, with chapters & volunteer centers nationwide, have assembled a team of volunteers from its “STOPNOW” school community patrol teams with search efforts to expand through foundation chapters throughout Missouri, Texas & Arkansas.
 

STOPNOW TEAMS:

 

More than two dozen volunteers are currently planned in allocation rotation to search for the missing girl. Foundation officials noted team members will also be distributing fliers of the youth & utilizing its 24 hour online crisis response system to also aide in tracking and acquiring tip information. Volunteers wanted to aide in search.


Police described Franklin as 5-foot-9 and around 186 pounds with blue eyes and brown hair. Court records show Day was charged in Dodge County last Tuesday with two counts of child abduction and two counts of child enticement. A warrant was issued for his arrest.
