"Ahmir's Law": The One In Five Foundation For Kids Announced In A National Release Friday Morning, That It Is Currently Working On A Draft Proposal For Legislation That Would Require Any Individual Credibly, "Flagged" By Law Enforcement, As A Potential Threat To Public Safety - Be Immediately Entered Into A Sixth Month Violence Prevention Program. If Accepted & Passed, The Then Law Would Also Prohibit The Purchase Of Possession Of Weapons By Individuals Under The Program With A Follow Up Requirement Period After Successful Program Completion.


The Bill Is Aptly Named After 11 Year Old, Ahmir Jolliff, who was killed January 4, 2024 at Perry High School In Perry, Iowa.

 

The Uvalde Foundation For Kids Noted In The Announcement Out Of Dallas, Texas, That It Continues To Uncover Evidence Of Documented Reports Of Concerns By Community Members To Local & Federal Law Enforcement Regarding The Shooter, Dylan Butler, with no substantial action taken to intervene by officials.
