Uvalde Foundation For Kids In Texas To Aide West Maui School Communities: 13 August 2023
Following A Hawaii State Education Department report releasing that thousands of students from four West Maui public schools have been impacted by the recent wildfires, with one school completely destroyed - The Uvalde Foundation For Kids, Dedicated To Ending School Violence & Formed In Response To The Mass School Shooting At Robb Elementary School - Has Officially Launched A Special EMERGENCY RELIEF Fund; EFFECTIVE NOW THROUGH SEPTEMBER 2023 - To Provide Rebuilding & Emergency Aide To Students & Their Families Of The Following Schools:
Lahainaluna High
Lāhainā Intermediate
Princess Nāhi’ena’ena Elementary
King Kamehameha III Elementary
The Foundation has also confirmed that Lahaina’s King Kamehameha III Elementary School was destroyed in the massive wildfire that decimated the town. Over 600 students are displaced with many families losing everything!
