The Uvalde Foundation For Kids, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to ending school violence, formed after the Robb Elementary School shooting & headquartered In Dallas, Texas, announced Wednesday morning that it is assembling a special team of volunteers from its STOPNOW school community patrol teams in its Dallas, San Antonio & Bell County chapters, to aide in the ongoing search for missing Texas A&M University, Corpus-Christi junior, Caleb Harris, last seen since March 4th leaving an apartment complex near the Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi campus.
Officials with the student advocacy & violence prevention nonprofit are asking for community participation and volunteers to join planned grid searches in an effort to reboost the now several months long search.
Officials noted in the release that their teams, who also aided in the much publicized search for Missing student, Riley Strain, in Nashville, Tennessee
are pushing for renewed search efforts & a call for community aide, despite fears that a recent body found in June 2024 in a sealed well, near the last known location may be of the missing student.
Authorities have not been able to identify the remains to present date of this release.
The Uvalde Foundation For Kids STOPNOW Patrol teams director, James Earle noted in the release, "Now is not the time to end the search for this young man. If anything it should give a renewed hope that persistence and dedication can bring answers, even those we do not wish to hear. In this case, until the community knows otherwise, we are urging those joining efforts to locate Caleb to stay the course. Our foundation will utilize all our resources to aide at this time. Caleb deserves that."
Foundation officials also noted in the release that over a dozen volunteers are currently planned in rotation search patrols, to serve in a support capacity to current rescue, law enforcement & other volunteer search teams.
Foundation volunteers are also distributing fliers (photo attached) of Caleb throughout the areas of interest, including downtown Corpus Christi as well as via their national online web platforms.
